ACSA's Staff and
Membership extend our deepest sympathies to the families and
friends of the irreplaceable souls, both young and old, lost in Blacksburg, Virginia
yesterday, April 16,
2007 at Virginia Tech. Our prayers extend to the safety
and swift recovery
of those wounded. We honor the memory of those who died or were
wounded striving to save lives. Yesterday was, alas, a National Day of
Remembrance and Tolerance: it was National Holocaust Remembrance Day...
We also extend our prayers to
ACSA member Charles Sutherland and his Family, that
his sister Terry, an innocent victim of horrific gun/domestic violence on
Sunday in California, shall completely recover. We pray that the vile suspect who
harmed her so viciously shall swiftly be brought to justice.
UPDATE:
as
of April 19, 2007, "Jim Vermillion", the suspect in the shooting of Ms.
Terry Sutherland on Sunday, April 15, 2007, was (according to the Police in
San Bernadino County, California) taken into custody and is being held on
$1,000,000 bail as of this time. It is our hope a speedy trial follows
and if found guilty: that he receive the maximum possible sentence for the
crime.
